''Retrophyllum rospigliosii'' (''Pino hayuelo'') is a species of conifer in the Podocarpaceae family, found in western Venezuela, eastern Colombia, northwestern Bolivia, and central Peru. Trees grow to 30 m in height, with the trunk 50-70 (-100) cm in diameter. Bark is scaly, and leaves are simple, opposite, and linear, oval-lanceolate, 0.4-0.8 x 0.2-0.4 cm, with a single midrib.
